Make your deck public
All decks you create are private by default. When you're ready to share your work with other learners, you can make a deck public from your deck page.
How to publish
On any '/my-decks/[deckId] page, use the privacy toggle to switch the deck from private to public. You can also choose public when you first create the deck. In the deck settings you can set a public title and public description. These are what other learners see in the deck directory, so a clear title and a short description of what's inside go a long way.
Where it shows up
Public decks appear in two places:
- The public deck directory at yalango.com/decks
- The unified search at yalango.com/explore Each public deck shows the author, language pair, card count, votes, and comments. Other learners can play the deck, save a copy to their own library, upvote it, and leave comments.
Stars and upvotes
Sharing useful decks is also how you earn Yalango Stars. You get a star the moment your deck becomes public, and more stars every time another learner duplicates it or upvotes it. See the Stars article for the full breakdown. You can switch a deck back to private at any time. If you do, the corresponding stars are removed.
