Play multilingual decks
Some official decks support several language pairs - pick which language you are studying and which one you already know before playing.
Some official decks on Yalango support more than one language pair. These are usually curated decks made by the Yalango team, and they let learners with different native languages study the same content. Normal users are currently not able to create multilingual decks, but everyone can play the public ones.
When you open a multilingual deck, you'll see a small language picker before the game starts:
- I'm studying - the language you want to learn from this deck.
- From - the language you already know.
The cards then show up with the correct two sides for your chosen pair.
Bookmark your pair
Your selection is stored in the URL, so the address bar will end with parameters for your chosen target and source language. If you bookmark or share that link, the deck will open with the same pair next time. You can change the pair at any time from the same picker.
Vocabulary
Answering a card in a multilingual deck adds it to My Vocabulary for the language you picked as I'm studying. Saving the deck to your library does the same for every card at once. See What is the vocabulary list on Yalango?.
