What Are Yalango Stars?
Stars are a way to measure your contributions to the Yalango community. You earn stars when other learners interact with content you've shared. The more helpful your decks and comments are to others, the more stars you'll collect.
Your total star count is displayed on your public profile.
How to Earn Stars
- Make a deck public — +1 star
- Someone duplicates your deck — +10 stars
- Your deck receives an upvote — +3 stars
How You Can Lose Stars
Stars are deducted if the actions that earned them are reversed:
- Set a public deck back to private — -1 star
- An upvote on your deck is removed — -3 stars
- An upvote on your comment is removed — -1 star
If a deck or comment with multiple upvotes is deleted, the corresponding stars are also removed.
Tips for Earning More Stars
- Share useful decks publicly. High-quality vocabulary lists that other learners find helpful are more likely to get upvotes and duplicates.
- Focus on quality. A single well-crafted deck that gets duplicated by 10 people earns you 100 stars, far more than 100 empty public decks.
Where Can I See My Stars?
