Starter decks
Play official Yalango starter decks from the study page to build your first vocabulary before you create your own content.
When you open the study dashboard and you do not yet have much of your own content activated for studying, Yalango may show a section called Start with a deck.
How to use them
- Open Study with your target language selected.
- Find Start with a deck.
- Pick a deck and choose Play (Play 10 cards).
Words you practice become part of your vocabulary. After that, daily spaced repetition sessions will include them.
The play screen uses your default game preference when one is set.
How the picks are chosen
Starter decks are public decks published by the Yalango team for your language. The list prefers decks with at least five cards and ranks them by community rating, so you usually see up to three strong options.
If none are available
For some languages there are no official starter decks yet. The empty state points you to:
- Explore - browse community decks and tables
- My Library - create your own content
You can also open a language page or a free course and practice from there.
