Game settings and the score screen
Before a game
On the game chooser you can set:
- Exercises - the session length, from 5 to 50 in steps of 5.
- Show first - Target, Source or Mix. Applies to Flashcards, Quiz and Mix.
- Pinyin - on Chinese decks.
During a game
The settings gear opens a modal where you can change:
- Autoplay audio - play a card's pronunciation automatically when it appears.
- Show custom fields - whether your extra card fields are displayed while practising.
- Display pinyin - Chinese only.
- Show first, for the games it applies to.
These are per-language preferences, and the full set lives at Language settings - including Mix mode games, which is only configurable there.
Keyboard and touch
Most games accept the spacebar to continue and support tapping anywhere to advance. Reading modes have their own shortcuts, listed in Study a text sentence by sentence.
The score screen
At the end you get:
- Your score as
{correct}/{total} correctplus a percentage. - Time, Correct, Wrong and Total.
- Review mistakes - an expandable list of what you got wrong, including what you typed.
Then, depending on context:
- Practice mistakes - replay just the misses.
- Play again with new cards or Play again with same cards.
- Play next deck - when you came from a folder or collection.
- Back - to wherever you started.
Your progress is already saved
Answers are recorded as you play, not when the score screen appears. Leaving a session halfway through doesn't discard anything - the items you answered have already updated their levels, your daily goal progress, and your mistake list.
The stars that spin next to a perfect score are decoration. Yalango Stars are earned for community contributions and focus sessions, not for game scores.
