Your Study dashboard

Study is the page you'll open most often. It answers one question: what should I do today in this language?

Everything on it is scoped to your active language, so switch language from the menu if it looks unfamiliar.

Today's session

The card at the top is the centre of the page:

  • A ring showing {done}/{goal} correct today, or Rest day if today's goal is 0.
  • Your streak, with a checkmark once today is complete.
  • Start today's session - a spaced repetition session drawn from all your decks. See Start today's session.

Once you hit your goal the heading changes to Today's session is done and the button becomes Practice more.

Two links sit underneath: Vocabulary progress and Edit goals.

Fixing mistakes

Below that, a card offers Fix your {n} recent mistakes - the words you've got wrong in the last 30 days. See Fix your recent mistakes.

Picking something specific

Browse all items opens a picker covering your decks, tables, reading material and folders, with a search box. Use it when you want to study a particular thing rather than what's due - including playing a whole folder at once.

Pick up where you left off appears above it, linking to your most recent practice.

If you're new

New accounts see Start with a deck, a set of official starter decks for your language. Playing one is the quickest way to get words into your vocabulary so the daily sessions have something to work with.

Tools and community

At the bottom is a grid linking to the rest of the site: Explore, Yalango Watch, Forums, Vocabulary and Stats.

If the dashboard looks empty

It needs two things: a language selected, and some vocabulary. If you've just registered, add a deck or play a starter deck and the session card will start filling in.
