Delete your account

Account deletion is in the Danger Zone at the bottom of Account settings.

How it works

Choose Delete your account. Before you confirm, you're shown a summary of what will be removed, counted from your actual account.

Deletion then runs with a 30-day grace period. Your private data is permanently deleted after 30 days, and you can cancel any time before then simply by signing back in.

After those 30 days nothing can be recovered. There's no backup to restore from.

Do this first

• Download your data. It's a single zip with a spreadsheet for every deck, and it costs you nothing. Once the grace period ends, your cards are gone for good.
• Cancel a Premium subscription. Billing is handled by our payment provider and isn't automatically ended by deleting your Yalango account. Cancel through the portal on Your Plan first - see Manage your subscription.

Consider not deleting

Deletion is rarely the thing people actually want:

• If it's the emails, turn them off in notification settings. Yalango doesn't send study reminders or streak nags at all.
• If it's a break, an inactive account is silent. Your streak resets, nothing else happens, and your material is waiting when you come back.
• If it's privacy, you can limit what your public profile shows and set your decks back to private without deleting anything.

What happens to your public content

Copies of your public decks that other learners saved to their libraries are their own independent decks, so those aren't affected by your account being deleted.
