Export from your library
Export a whole folder or your entire library of decks and tables at once - as one Anki file with subdecks, or a zip of spreadsheets.
When you want to take a lot with you at once, you don't have to export decks one by one. You can export a folder, or everything in your library for the language you're studying, in a single download.
Start an export
- To export a folder, right-click it in My Library and choose Export Folder.
- To export what you're looking at, use the export button in the library toolbar. Inside a folder it exports that folder; at the top of your library it exports everything for the current language.
You'll see every deck and table that will be included, organized in your folders. Everything is ticked to start with - untick folders or single items you want to leave out.
One Anki file
All your decks and tables go into one .apkg file. Each one becomes an Anki subdeck, nested inside folders with the same names as yours - a deck called "Irregular" in your "Spanish > Verbs" folder arrives in Anki as Spanish::Verbs::Irregular.
- Decks work the same way as a single deck export: target on the front, source on the back, custom fields under the answer.
- Tables use their first two columns as the front and back of the card. To choose different columns, export that table on its own.
- Tick Keep my review progress to carry your Yalango review schedule over to Anki.
Exporting again later updates the cards already in Anki instead of duplicating them.
Zip of files
You get one file per deck and table, in folders that mirror your library, plus a manifest.json that lists every file with its name, folder and size. Pick the format for all of them:
- Excel, CSV or TSV spreadsheets
- JSON, in the same format as single deck and table exports
- Text (Quizlet) - term and definition text you can paste into other flashcard apps
If something goes wrong
A large library can take a few minutes. Keep the page open while the export runs - you can cancel at any time. If a deck or table can't be exported, the rest still are, and the export lists what was skipped and why, with a button to try those again.
Everything else
This export covers decks and tables. For a complete copy of everything in your account - texts, notebooks, PDFs, books, your vocabulary, study history and forum posts - use Download all your data.
