Learn languages with YouTube videos

Watch lets you turn YouTube videos into a language-learning tool. Instead of just watching, you can translate sentences, save words you don't know, and take notes as you go.

You can find Watch in the main menu, or go directly to yalango.com/watch.

Browsing videos

The video library can be filtered by language, channel, and duration, so you can find content that matches your level and the time you have available. You can also import your own YouTube videos to study privately.

Tools while watching

Each video comes with a set of side panels:

  • Translate - translate a sentence or a single word from the subtitles into your source language.
  • Word bank - save unknown words from the video into your vocabulary so you can review them later with spaced repetition.
  • Notes - jot down whatever you want to remember about the video.

Progress

Yalango keeps track of which videos you've watched and how far you got, so you can pick up where you left off. You'll need to be logged in for the word bank, notes, and progress features to work.
