The Yalango leaderboard
The leaderboard celebrates the learners who put the most into the community.
Two rankings
- Most stars - the top 25 users by total stars, all time.
- Top contributors - the top 25 by forum help specifically. Accepted answers count most, then corrections, then posts.
The contributors board exists because star totals reward several different things at once. If you spend your time answering questions and correcting people's writing, that's where it shows up.
How often it updates
Once every 24 hours, with the date of the last update shown on the page. If you earned stars today, expect to see your position change tomorrow rather than immediately.
Who appears
Only users with a public profile. Both boards are all-time rather than monthly or weekly.
Climbing it
For Most stars, the biggest levers are public decks that other people save (10 stars each) and accepted forum answers (10 each).
For Top contributors, answer questions on the language boards and give corrections. Since accepted answers are weighted heaviest, the most effective thing you can do is give a genuinely complete answer to a question nobody else has picked up.
Quality wins on both boards. One good deck saved by twenty learners outperforms a long list of empty public decks, and a thorough answer outperforms ten one-line replies.
