Yalango integrates with YouTube through the Watch tool, so you can turn any supported video into a language-learning session.

You can find Watch in the main menu or go directly to yalango.com/watch.

What you get

Each video opens with a set of side panels:

  • Translate - translate a sentence or a single word from the subtitles into your source language.
  • Word bank - save unknown words from the video to your vocabulary, so they show up in your spaced repetition reviews later.
  • Notes - keep your own notes about the video while you watch.

Finding videos

The library can be filtered by language, channel, and duration. You can also import your own YouTube videos to study privately.

Picking up where you left off

Yalango remembers which videos you've watched and how far you got, so you can come back later and continue from the same spot. You'll need to be logged in for the word bank, notes, and progress features to work.
