Resources for learning Arabic 📚

Hi everyone! Is anyone else here learning Arabic on their own? I noticed there are no posts in the Arabic forum yet, so let me kick things off with some resources I've been using. I'm a self-directed learner currently (probably) at A2 level, for now focused on Modern Standard Arabic ("fusha", the formal variety used in news and official contexts). Here's what's been working for me: Kaleela (app) — objective, no excessive gamification. Among others, has a dedicated grammar course. Clean Arabic font. There are writing exercises, though not strict about harakāt. Al Jazeera Learning Arabic (web) — lessons entirely in Arabic, so it's challenging for beginners, but probably great for intermediate learners. Has a super cool harakāt on/off toggle and adjustable font size, which I find essential for Arabic script. (Many apps render Arabic script too small, making it hard to see the details — especially the harakāt.) Reverso Conjugator (web) — reliable Arabic verb conjugation with full harakāt. Accepts input in Arabic script or transliteration. You'll also find the closest matching verbs in Arabic if you enter a verb with a spelling error. Also worth mentioning: Duolingo — good for getting started, but limited for real fluency. I finished the Arabic course and it helped build a base, especially for recognizing the alphabet, harakāt, and phonetics. Linguno (web) — truly my kind of tool: it focuses on the heart of languages — conjugation. No gamification, no distractions. Unfortunately, no Arabic yet, but worth trying if you're interested in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese or Spanish. Hope this helps!
