What is a table on Yalango?
A table on Yalango is a spreadsheet-style way to organize what you want to learn. Instead of two sides like a flashcard, a table has rows and columns - so you can keep extra information next to each entry.
Tables are a good fit for content that doesn't fit neatly into a single front/back pair:
- Verb conjugations across persons and tenses
- Noun declensions with gender and case
- Vocabulary with extra notes, example sentences, or pronunciation
- Any list where you want to keep more than two pieces of information per row
Tables vs decks
Use a deck when you mostly want to memorize a word and its translation. Use a table when the same item has several related forms or fields you want to study together.
Private and public
Your tables are private by default, but you can make any table public from the table settings. Public tables show up in the table directory at yalango.com/tables, where other learners can preview them and save a copy to their own library.
Import and export
You can build a table from scratch or import a CSV file. You can also export any of your tables back to CSV at any time from the table editor.
